Seth Rollins recently did an interview with NYPost.com where he spoke about a wide range of topics including the future of former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
Of course, Lynch is pregnant with their first child and is due in December. Ever since Lynch made her announcement on an episode of Monday Night Raw where she awarded Asuka the championship, there have been questions as to whether she would make a WWE return after giving birth.
Rollins addressed these questions. He started off by talking about how she hates being home but is enjoying the break from wrestling as the entertainment industry is going to stress you out. She does miss having a schedule and goals in mind to work towards.
He brought up how she’s had to just walk away and stop abruptly instead of most other women who are pregnant being able to work for the majority of their pregnancy until giving birth.
“It’s definitely a challenge for her. She’s awesome and she’s getting through it, but it’s different for her for sure.”
Rollins is under the belief that Lynch aspires to make a return for now, but understands that things can change.
“Oh yea, I expect so. Obviously that’s gonna be up to her and how she feels. Who knows what happens after childbirth once she becomes a mother, I don’t know. I believe she has aspirations to return. I think she would rather go out on her own terms whenever that time may be as opposed to stepping away for a child. I think she has aspirations to return, but I don’t know. Things can change between now and December.”
Rollins also talked about WWE doing COVID-19 testing, NXT using previous pay-per-view themes, and more. Check out the full interview here.
